WHOS HOT - TOO HOT - TOO HOT AZTECS TOO HOT - TOO HOT Magical Mystery Tour was a great success. I am proud of this show and all the hard work and preparation everybody did. Now as we enter a transition period between marching season and concert season, I would like everyone to continue to work hard and practice. Get ready for challenges, honor band auditions, and working on some great new music for Spring Semester. Keep up the good work. Let's continue to be successful and have a wonderful second semester. THE BHS CONCERT BAND Will be taking us on an exploration of Video Game Music Video Game music is new and making a great impact on band music. Don’t miss the debut of our program at BANDTASIA. BHS WIND ENSEMBLE 2010 Selections In the Presence of Heroes - by James Swearingen A wonderful and moving tribute to our everyday heroes, will undoubtedly inspire members of the audience to sing to themselves as they leave the concert hall. Inspiring! Intrusions - by Mike Leckrone STUDENTS AND PARENTS – Be sure to check out the FUNDRAISING information on the BHS Booster Page. Fundraisers help support Band activities, events and trips. Information on the Washington DC Trip is available. The 2010 JAZZTECS and BHS Jazz Ensemble have been chosen. Congratulations to this years musicians. BAND AWARDS are starting to build up for the Aztec Music Program this year. The Aztec Marching Band and Color Guard took the High General Effects Award among others at the Apple Valley High Schools Sun Devil Classic. Way to go Aztec’s. Keep track for the Aztec’s award standings at the BHS Events Page. Aztec Band did experience a triumph deluxe on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 as they took "Magical Mystery Tour" to San Bernardino. The Aztec Band marched an excellent show, entertained many, and received the People's Choice Award as well as the following; Aztec Band's score was the highest in the tournament at 85.40, a Big BRAVO!!!! from Garv...... High Visual Performance Award 1st Place Div. V Bands 1st Place Div. V Percussion 1st Place Div. V Color guard Great Job!!!! Aztecs, you have worked hard and showed that you are superior on the field. CONGRATULATIONS AZTEC MARCHING BAND AND COLOR GUARD FOR A TREMENDOUSLY SUCCESSFUL TOUR As marching season comes to a close, I would like to congratulate all students who participated and worked hard to make the 2009 Field Show season a success.
