GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS HELD THE THIRD THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE BARSTOW HIGH SCHOOL BAND ROOM.

Mark your calendars for Thursday March the 18th at 7PM for the next Band Booster Meeting and Thursday February 25th at 7PM for a Washington DC Chaperone Meeting at the BHS Band Room.

CALLING ALL PARENTS

Washington DC Trip Cost Information is available.  The attached letter was mailed out to parents, if you didn't receive one, please contact a board member via email or phone to verify address we have on hand for you.

 

 

ALUMNI T-SHIRTS FOR SALE

We will be offering one more time as a pre-sale, the alumni shirts that were such a hit, but didn’t' have enough.  We will be having this available for pre-sale from now until March 31st.  The cost is $15.00.  If you are interested, please email Kelly Woodford the size you would like, the quantity and a phone number.  Please mail payment to and checks made payable to:

Audition Procedures for the Barstow High School Music Program

 

Hey everyone,

Here comes an opportunity to purchase your

 Washington DC 2010 T-Shirt - $20.00

 

Yes it is a little expensive, but the        t-shirt is very attractive and is one of the best tees we’ve ever offered.

 

It is strictly voluntary to purchase and you may purchase whether or not you are going on the trip. We want as many people in Barstow to wear the shirt as possible - download and print off the t-shirt order form on the website and drop your order into the drop box inside the band room.

 

Family Portrait Day

by Chris Harrell Studios is scheduled for March 27th the cost of the packages are $55 and $85.  Appoints can be made by calling Heather Saenz at (760) 694-4157. These portraits will be taken in the band room and all moneys collected will be donated to the band. Download flyer here.

 

Bandtasia Dinner and Auction

 March 20th at 6:00pm Rosita's Restaurant. Single tickets are $25.00 and a table of eight will be $175. All proceeds will go to the Barstow High School Band and Color Guard to get them to Washington DC. We will be having a full dinner, a silent and live auction, a raffle, and no host bar. Free Flowers for an Entire Year

 

Sound too good to be true?  It's not; we are pre-selling gift certificates for $20.00 which entitles to the person purchasing it, to 1 bouquet of flowers from Rainbow Florist each month for 12 months.   I will have the certificates in hand on the 15th.  Pre-sale now, then you can have in hand to sell.  We are only getting 300 so it's a limited availability, on a first come first serve basis.  $5.00 of each certificate sold goes to the student's account.  When pre-selling, keep track of orders on the back of the flyer of your customers.  No need to fill out a flyer for each customer. FUNDRASING INFORMATION

·      Sponsorship Letter

o       Download this letter and send to friends and family to get sponsors for you child to go to Washington, DC. Send to as many people as you can to see if you can raise more money for your child's student account. You'd be surprised at what you might get. Shanon

·      Raffle for Side of Beef

o       Raffle tickets are here and have been passed out to all the students.  We will be asking every band student to sell 1 booklet, which is 10 raffle tickets.  It will be appreciated. This is helping to offset the additional costs, of which we aren’t charging the students or chaperones.  We will be having a raffle for 2 lucky winners to each win a side of beef - cut, processed, and wrapped to their choosing.  The tickets will be $5.00 each, of which $2.00 from each ticket will go tot he students account, and $3.00 will go to general fund.  The winner will be announced at Rositas, Saturday night (after Bandtasia) March 20th at 8:00 pm.  If you have any questions or want more tickets, please call Shanon Ellis 760-954-4572.

·        World's Finest Chocolate Candy Bars:

o        WE NO LONGER HAVE CANDY BARS. Money needs to be turned in as soon as possible.  Please call Shanon Ellis 954-4572 with any questions.

·      Coca-cola Fundraiser

o        Due to public request, we are offering the Coca Cola Fundraiser once again.  The forms are in the band room and here for download.  It is a variety of flavors in 20 ounce bottles, 24 in a case.  They sell for $23.00 of which $5.00 goes to the student's account.  Money and orders are due March 24th and orders will be available for pick up on April 12th.  If you have any questions, please call Shanon Ellis 760-954-4572.

·      BHS Marching Band Discount Cards

o       We are selling discount cards to help the band students raise money for a band trip to Washington DC in May 2010.
