the BHS Wind Ensemble will be
commissioning The new piece: "The Waterman Junction Suite" a 3 movement work - I. - 3751 to Oro Grande II. - Dinner at Casa del Desierto III - The Super Chief It is a descriptive piece
that highlights the rich railroad history of Barstow. Our City was called
"Waterman Junction" before 1886. The name "Barstow" comes
from the 10th President of the Santa Fe Railroad - William Barstow Strong Barstow was his mother's
maiden name - also his name was also used for a town in Kansas, Strong City,
Kansas. |
